The Province of Manitoba has recently announced changes to commercial drivers' licenses for drivers from countries other than Canada and the U.S.

This applies to: Drivers who DO NOT hold commercial licenses issued by Canadian or U.S. jurisdictions.
Description of change: The new law requires commercial drivers from countries other than U.S. and Canada to obtain a Manitoba Class 1-3 license before operating a regulated vehicle in Manitoba. Regulated vehicles include any motor vehicles or trailers weighing 4,500 kg or more, as well as buses carrying 11 or more persons (including the driver).
