March 11, 2022
The 3rd annual National Stand-Down to Prevent Struck-By Incidents will take place April 11-15, in conjunction with National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW). The event seeks to increase awareness of struck-by hazards in work and lift zones, and ways to prevent struck-by incidents.
The NORA (National Occupational Research Agenda) Construction Sector Council will hold several webinars during the week and a variety of resources will be available to help promote work zone safety.
Struck-by incidents are a leading cause of death among construction workers, with the four most common hazards being struck by a flying, falling, swinging, or rolling object.
