“Every Step Matters” during National Ladder Safety Month

Ladders are one of the most essential tools in the workplace, yet their improper use causes numerous injuries and fatalities each year.

Each March, the American Ladder Institute (ALI) promotes ladder safety awareness with an eye toward reducing ladder-related injuries and fatalities. “Every Step Matters” is the theme of this year’s National Ladder Safety Month. The event will focus on four safety topics:

• Week one: Training and Awareness;
• Week two: Inspection and Maintenance;
• Week three: Stabilization, Setup, and Accessories; and
• Week four: Safe Climbing and Positioning.
